Yesterday I heard about the passing of Dr. William Gray. Dr. Gray was a pioneer in the field of hurricane forecasting, and produced a lot of valuable scientific papers.

I only had a few direct conversations with him during my time at CSU, but I heard him speak on several occasions. He will be dearly missed by many.The thing I will remember most about Dr. Gray is when he agreed to be part of the 2013 CSU grad student holiday skit. Some of us wrote a parody of Jay-Z’s “99 Problems”  about climate change, and Dr. Gray helped us out on the chorus. You can see it in the video link below, but you have skip ahead to about 7:35.
